“In Pursuit of Precision”

In Pursuit of Precision.
That’s more than a tagline—it’s the mindset that built this shop.

I’m Marc Lomas, cue builder, problem solver, and a lifelong student of precision. What started with cue repairs and bar cue conversions quickly turned into an obsession: understanding how balance, taper, and construction affect performance on the table.

But I’ll be honest—this journey wasn’t just about learning how to build cues. It was about learning how to let go of perfection.

For years, my pursuit of perfection stopped me from finishing anything. I’d start a project, then restart it. Rework it. Scrap it. Not because it was bad—but because it wasn’t flawless. It wasn’t finished.
It wasn’t enough.

It wasn’t until I started building cues—and eventually working on this site—that I realized something important:
Perfection is a moving target. But precision is measurable. Achievable. Repeatable. And it can improve, one cue at a time.

That changed everything.

Every cue I build now is designed with intention—from the taper profile to the balance point, to how the wrap feels in your hand. I don’t rush builds. I test and refine every piece until it’s something I’d be proud to use myself.

I didn’t come from a fancy workshop. I came from fixing what was broken—cleaning shafts, resetting tips, and converting house cues into something playable. That foundation taught me to respect the materials and the process. Over time, I began designing and building my own cues from the ground up.

I’m still growing. Still learning. Still refining. And this website is a way to share that journey with players who care about performance and craftsmanship as much as I do.
